Tucson Theater

“This above all: to thine own self be true.”  Hamlet (Act 1 Scene III)

It’s not all sweet potato fries and University of Arizona sports for my husband, Andy. As a former English teacher, I always make certain to include events on our social calendar that involve the theater. Tucson is known for its vibrant theater life, including the preeminent professional theater in the state of Arizona, the Arizona Theatre Company, the Invisible Theatre, and the University of Arizona Repertory Theatre, to name a few. However, it’s the small, intimate Rogue Theatre that always surprises us with great entertainment.

Located in the Historic Y on University Boulevard, The Rogue Theatre was the Recipient of the 2012 American Theatre Wing National Theater Company Award and is known for providing quality literary performances.  My husband and I are looking forward to seeing our favorite Shakespeare play, Hamlet this October.  You can find more information on the Rogue Theater by clicking here:  www.theroguetheatre.org.    For a detailed look at the 2015-16 performing arts season in Tucson, click here:  http://www.tucsonlifestyle.com/arts-and-events/performing-arts/
